Bull of the Month - Remitall Keynote 20X, Hereford

This month's profile is a Hereford bull named "REMITALL KEYNOTE 20X".

REMITALL KEYNOTE 20X was an impressive bull that heavily influenced the Hereford populations in North and South America, Australia, and New Zealand. Indeed, he has sired National Champions and high sellers in every country in which his semen was sold.

Born in 1988, he grew to become a massive bull who consistently weighed over 3000 lbs.  He was an Agribition class winner and Grand Champion bull at the Calgary Stampede in 1990 but his owner, Bryan Latimer, believes him to be "a bull ahead of his time".  Due to his remarkable ability to produce progeny that had high muscle content, excellent marbling and exceptional milk production, this bull was extremely desirable as a sire.  He physically bred cows every summer of his life at the Remitall farm near Olds, AB until his death at the age of 13.

Bull of the Month - Seven Forty Seven, Limousin

This month’s profile is a Limousin bull named “Seven Forty Seven”.

Seven Forty Seven was a world renowned Grand Champion bull (Iowa state fair, 1980) and is one of the key founders of the Canadian Limousin herd. Sired by the French bull Espoir De Carnival and the dam Fadette, he was born in 1978 in the US. Eventually purchased by the Worrell Land and Cattle Co. (Charlottesville, Virginia), Seven Forty Seven created a dynasty of stylish and highly muscled Limousin bulls that provided the Worrell Land and Cattle Co. with several years of remarkable cattle sales. His impressive EPDs made him a fine example of the Limousin breed which offer high meat yield, excellent feed efficiency and produce a lean, tender product.
